Cuba Libre Bracelet

Cuba Libre
Cuba Libre

She left on a boat
Just to follow a dream
She had to find.
You can’t hold a man
When he follows a dream
That’s on his mind.
I see a boat on the river..
It’s sailing away
Down to the ocean..

I like your poem and the innovative way you have used these beads. I have a few beads like that but can never figure out what to do with them.

    1. Thank you, Suzanne!

The poem is a part of the lyrics of a song by Boney M – ” I SEE A BOAT ON THE RIVER” – I’ve just changed the pronoun he/she. Travelling is my first love and I really have a dream to sail away 🙂

According to the beads – when I bought them I wasn’t sure what to do with them, but I like the glass as material very much. I googled a little bit and saw that they are mainly used for the making of “Pandora” bracelets. I’ve got problem with the supply of materials, so I’ve used what I have – Murano beads and wire. I’m trying to follow my imagination and to make unique pieces, even if they do not respond to the fashion trends. I’m glad you like my creation. In fact on the hand is even more beautiful.

I made with the same beads some earrings too, you can see them in the page “Earrings”. I needed some time to figure them out. Make it as a play and try different possibilities – as a pendant, bracelet or earrings – I’m sure the idea will come soon and you’ll make something really beautiful 🙂
